Education Assessment Officer (SEN) - Bromley, London
Are you an experienced and dedicated Education Assessor with a passion for making a difference to the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs?
About You: At Fresh Start in Education, we believe in the power of dedicated individuals to transform the lives of vulnerable young people. If you have a background in special education needs and a commitment to supporting students in a holistic, student-centred way, we want to hear from you. We are seeking a compassionate and experienced assessor to join our London-based team.
Your Role: In your role, you'll engage directly with children, young adults, and their families or caregivers, fostering an environment of trust and collaboration. Your interactions will centre on asking thoughtful questions that unveil the intricacies of each individual's education, social, emotional, and mental health.
With meticulous attention to detail, you'll assume the responsibility of compiling a comprehensive assessment, drawing insights from various sources including school reports, risk assessments, and Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs). By skilfully reviewing these documents, you'll extract pertinent information that informs your understanding of the student's unique needs and circumstances.
Your expertise in documenting will shine as you craft detailed reports that encapsulate the young person's background, personal learning plan with clear targets and intervention strategies, and a robust risk assessment. Through accurate recording and analysis, you'll equip your team with invaluable insights that drive effective decision-making and support tailored interventions for each student's journey toward success.
